Snake Alert!
There have been several snake encounters in Glenlake in the past week or two – very close to homes -- that have been of concern to residents. This was a topic of concern at Glenlake Garden Club this week and also “neighbor-to-neighbor” in a sighting this morning. These encounters have in some cases been confirmed as venomous and in other cases looked like or may have been venomous snakes. For your safety, please take an extra look when you are walking around – especially around dawn and dusk. Putting on your shoes, grabbing a flashlight, and using a keen eye might be good ideas.
Navigating the Site
The left and right sidebars on every page of this site will always contain the following sections and features:
- Site Navigation
- This menu will allow you to navigate to every main page on the Glenlake website. Should you be at the bottom of a long page, the main menu categories are also duplicated in the site's footer.
- Latest News
- This section presents a preview of the most recent news items from the News & Announcements page. Clicking on a news item's date will take you the complete text. The News & Announcements page replaces the home page content of the previous version of this website.

- Coming Events
- Any community-wide events happening in Glenlake will be previewed here, so that you can see when things are happening at a glance. A larger, more readable calendar is available at the main Coming Events page.
- Good to Know
- Website usage tips, Glenlake trivia and history, and other useful items rotate in this section every time that you refresh the page or navigate to a new page. Be sure to keep an eye on this feature—you could learn something new!
