The Glenlake Neighborhood Association has the following positions available for those special neighbors with a desire to serve their community.

Some committee positions are available immediately, while others, such as the Architectural Control Committee (ACC), need to identify interested individuals to fill positions as they open through attrition.

GNA Board Members are subject to 2 year term-limits according to our By-Laws, so positions open at regular intervals. Board members should be identified before the position is ready to be filled to ensure continuity of membership.

Please look at the descriptions below and decide where you might want to contribute. Great neighborhoods are made by people who are willing to step up and volunteer their time in service to their community. Please join us in whatever capacity you can - it can be a rewarding experience and a lot of fun in the process!

Committee Positions

Architectural Control Committee Member
  • Tasks: Participate in reviewing submitted plans and specifications for all building projects within the neighborhood that involve construction of or modification to any building, fence, wall, or other structure (including pools). Assist in the comparison of these submitted plans and specs to relevant Deed Restrictions and provide feedback or written approval in writing within 30 days before construction may begin. If you enjoy architecture, can read plans, and have a good attention to construction details, please contact any Board Member to express your interest in this position as soon as it is available.
  • Status: Available through attrition. To put your name on the list, please contact the GNA President at president@glenlakehoa.org.
Welcoming Committee Member
  • Tasks: Help greet new residents within the first 30 days of moving into the neighborhood to provide them with information and hospitality to ease their transition and make them generally feel....welcome. This is a good way to meet new people and to help them to assimilate into their new surroundings. As we all know, moving can be stressful, and it sure helps to find friendly faces at the other end of the move.
  • Status: If interested please send an e-mail to gnaboard@yahoo.com.

Board Positions

  • Tasks: Board Members can serve in a wide variety of ways, including:
    • providing committee oversight
    • soliciting and assigning members for special task assignments
    • addressing neighborhood problems
    • organizing meetings and neighborhood events
    • providing e-mail and voice-mail responses
    • representing the neighborhood in community action issues
    • publishing the newsletter or website
    • providing meeting minutes and general correspondence
    • budget reporting and management
    • accounts receivable/payable oversight
    • coordination of grounds maintenance and special projects
  • Status: Positions available through attrition. If you are motivated to serve on the neighborhood board, please send an e-mail to gnaboard@yahoo.com.
